I was so pshyched today to see that Tim made a new post on Such Luck. It has lots of sick footage (sorry for stealing the H-street Line before its premier Tim) and great pictures. The footage: (keep an eye out for Brad's trick. I've passed by that spot a bunch of times and always thought it was too gnarly. Brad killed it. Also look for Mark's Picasso line and Tim's noseslide shove.) Chicken Wings and Scratchoffs - SuchLuck.com from Such Luck on Vimeo.
Mark came through with some serious bangers in this part. Mark's Nose Manual down the big hubba, soma's line, Hectors noseslide shove are all in this video. Quality stuff. Random tricks caught on tape at wilson from Mark Szymanski on Vimeo.
Note to the bikers: Hey, we're cool with all the bikers at the park but if you act like these reckless and careless bikers then I guess the whole park will be against you as you can see in the video. (Locs For the Win!) Just so you know, nobody was hurt, it was just a little argument cause one of the bikers nearly chopped off my head as well as Bert's head while trying to "Fakie rollback" Make sure to tune in on PROPS mega tours for more BMX terminology. Oh and fixies are not welcomed Get some dang breaks already!
I must’ve snaked Mark six times today and still he comes through, edits, and posts a ten trick montage with Alex (who didn’t want to film anyways) in one night after Steve asked him about a ten tricks section. Mark is a champ. Alex Cohen ten tricks at Wilson Skatepark 09-22-08 from Mark Szymanski on Vimeo.
In Junebug's (the guy who skate in the Uprise commercial and rips, you should know who he is) free skate/photography class we were taking pictures with fisheye cameras and I took this picture of Julien doing a back smith on the QP and now its on the Uprise Site! I
So like last spring I went on a trip to Arizona right? I promised footy so finally here it is. There's a mix of a bunch of other spots in chicago as well so it's not all AZ. Oh! and who can't have and Arizona video without Jack Johnson?! Hehe yea... I got that from skateaz
I remember those days where Tony Hawk was my hero and baggy jeans, and a safety helmet that was way to big for my head, and mall grabbing was part of my everyday life...
summer of 06 featuring the Puesse twins
Also check out the video where pros, steve fauser, neen williams, rick euasey, and greg pilato skated in before they became pros! I think its the old FA skateshop video It's made by Zac Arctander who's a editing genius. I've also seen him at Wilson a couple times.
A skateboarder ripper named Van Wastell (he rode for krooked, independent, and vans) died yesterday after falling from the fifth story of his hotel room. From the footage I've recently seen of him I can tell that this dude was definately up there in some of the best styles of all time. Rest In Peace Van.
A guy named Arnold Klein took these really nice looking pictures of people at Wilson. His site has some other really well framed and lit pictures of chicago on his site. Here are the pictures he took of us.
This montage on skateillinois is sick! has a combination of Arizona's finest mixed with some of Illinois finest and it has some attributes to the wonka dat cat. And does that back 50-50 on the disney garden rail look familiar??
